“Faceless”

Rare glimpse of two young girls weaving a rug in the middle east, likely Iran given the other photographs in this collection. Sitting on a hard wood plank, moving up rungs on a ladder as work progresses, one wonders how long they had to work every day at this age making rugs. The patterns used to make the rug can be seen here, as well as a good portion of the finished rug. Very thought-provoking and unique photograph.
